Flowcate Branding - Storytelling for A location-Tech Company

Rebranding for a German tech-company

Together with the team at Medianer studio we created a new Brand Identity for Heidelberg Mobil. The company has specialized in developing location-tech solutions for over 20 years. To better communicate their brand values they want to recreate their own brand communnications.

Hubman – The superhero, that brings open location standards to the customers

First of all they wanted to make a brand new video to explain their main product better, the so called “deephub”.  The new video should transport the technical information in a more emotional way, so the customers can better identify themselves with the product. We came up with the idea of a superhero called hubman that brings the deephub to the customers. I developed a storyboard for the video and the look of the main character as well as all the other characters we needed for the story.  I tried to find a visual style, that would fit into the buisness context but was a little edgy, too. So I came up with a low poly 3D style. This visual style adapts to typical explanation video styles and gave me the oportunity to tell a more complex story and also use more dynamic visual effects and camera movements. That made a more involving video possible.

New Webstyle

We also transformed the old Heidelberg-Mobil website into the new Flowcate-style. I made UI concepts for alle the pages.

I also created many assets for the website that follow the style of the product video. We reused some of the models but also made completly new graphics to give the website a more personal feeling. Therefore we created small iconic lowpoly cities of Heidelberg and Vancouver. These two cities are the places where the company has its headquarters.
